It was a cool Summer in Sydney. We made a plan to go for hideaway. Yeah, it’s nice to go somewhere else after hard work. It helps to recharge. It was really a surprise Mr ikan found a cabin house for our stay – Possums Hideaway! It is located at Blackheath at Blue Mountain. The transportation is very convenient, we came from Sydney by train to Blackheath and reached the accomodation spot by taxi. It was 15 minutes from the small village, Blackheath. When we reached the reception desk, we were greeted with huge smiles and friendly chat 🙂
After selecting our DVD movies to watch in the room, we impatiently walked to our tree house which Mr ikan booked online earlier. I was so excited when I saw the cabin house which was like a tree house to me 🙂
It has a beautiful surrounding. The house was complete with a kitchen, utensils, fireplace , tv and a spa ! Yeah and our cute pet, the possum with its own house just outside the door. The house was clean and tidy and we were so happy we found a nice place.
Omg!!! We really loved the fireplace. It was really a dream come true. The fire woods are already prepared and ready. It just nice to see the fire and smell the burning woods. It rained in the evening and started to feel cold. Time to use the fire place.
At night it kept us warm. They also provided the electric heater in the tree house but I just love the fireplace more. Mr ikan even roasted his bread at the fire and ate it with a smile.
I have never imagined I will come to Blackheath which is such a calm and amazing place.
The next day, we went for a look out. It was only 20 minutes from where we stay. We hold hands and laughing at stupid jokes
There were many local and foreign tourists that day at the Grand Canyon – Evans Lookout. Some were walking or arriving with cars. It is one of the popular spot in Blue Mountain I guess.
It was absolutely amazing view.
After we took some pictures, we hunted a creek nearby. I was not well at the time. However, I thought it’s a once in a lifetime chance. So why not. My legs started to pain walking down and up the hill. I thought it wont be far but then it’s really down under! I could smell the aroma of the forest. I could feel the cool air, the sun was hidden by the trees. We could see the cool water running down the path we stepped on. Luckily we wore shoes. The air was fresh.
After spending some time at the creek, we went up to the main road. Yeah it was worth the time. I just felt a little disappointed that I couldn’t see any fish in the water.Anyway, the view was fantastic.
We came back to the cabin and we played tennis and pool until the taxi came to pick us back to the station. We had spent a wonderful weekend in Blackheath. I was happy Mr ikan had chosen the right place for us to spend time together.
