Welcome to the world of Shazie

Orange: The colour of the Sky

We sat on a bench outside of the lake house after we ordered our coffee and banana cakes.

The lake looked so crystal clear. The sun was shining so bright. I was glad we came here for our holiday. I have never been outside of Sydney. So this is our first trip together.

I never know there is a place called Orange. Orange…is a name for a fruit. Who would name a place after a fruit? Omg! I wonder if there is an Apple too.

Orange town took about 3 hours by train to reach. Early in the morning we took a train from central to Lithgow ( the fare is $6.00 per person one way) and from Lithgow we went on a bus to orange for about 2 hours ($37.00 per person one way) Mr ikan booked them online.

The scenery was amazing too, wide blue sky and we could see some cows at times grazing on the greeny grass. I fell asleep in the bus. Mr ikan was busy reading news in his mobile.

When the bus stop in Orange, we were quite excited to see the new place. At that time we were staying at the Ibis hotel right in front of Coles. After we unpacked our things in the hotel we went to coles and walked around the town.

It’s a small nice town, everything is just nearby. While we were busy taking pictures of the town we came across Orange Information Centre. We went to the office to find out the tourist spots and what to do.

The lady at the information centre was very helpful and informative. In the information centre itself has a lot to see. We roamed in the little museum they have but what I like the most were the souvenirs.

We bought the the Olive crystal clear soap for $10. It has soft fragrant smell. Besides that, we also bought the fridge magnet as a mark that we had reached Orange.

At he evening we went to the cook park which is not so far from our hotel. It’s hard to describe how beautiful the sky looks. I remembered Mr ikan said camera lense unable to capture what our eyes can see. The sky was showing layers of colours, purple, pink, orange and blue. I just could take my eyes off the sight.

There was a small lake in the Cook Park. Birds and ducks flying around the lake. Yeah…nobody will feel alone here 😆

There were also birds in the cage. They also have small rose garden and playground for kids. I was amazed by the tall trees they have.

After we finished our coffee and banana cakes, we went back to our hotel via taxi. Most of the taxi drivers were women. I am feeling women power. Even though they have family to take care of, still they are able to work to support their family.

That evening, we just spent our last day in Orange watching the colours in the sky.
