On my way to Penang, I stopped a while at Taiping Lake Garden. I heard from my friends it has beautiful trees which was historical and restored by the state goverment of Perak. The lake garden is also known as The Raintree Walk.
It is 4 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Well, GPS really helps to find the location.
When I reached the Lake Garden I was amazed with the tall green trees and lake. It was such a beautiful sight. The lake was surrounded by blooming flowers. I couldn’t stop snapping pictures. . didn’t want to miss any of the view from my camera. The air was cool and the garden was really shady. It was a nice place for relaxing and spend time with family.
When I was at the Lake Garden I could see the effort to preserve the trees. The govt has put holders to support the falling branches, so that the branches won’t fall to the ground and rot.
There were many locals and tourists visiting at the time I was there. People just never stop taking pictures. Some were posing like the tree was falling on them and some holding the trees just like in the Tamil movies 🙂 Well, everybody just want their own piece of shot with the trees.
There were bicycles for rent nearby. It was RM15 for half an hour which I thought was reasonable price. Some want to ride together as a family and I was lucky enough to see a family riding the bicycle.
I didn’t stay very long here as I was rushing for my trip to Penang. It was nice to see and to be here even for a short time.
