I drive to work everyday with my super car Mazda2 Hb, my white sporty car. I have to wake up early to work to escape from traffic. There are many schools and offices on my way to workplace which is just half an hour from my home.

Every morning after I reach office, I will text Ikan. It is just like a routine now since we met in Europe tour, We talk and joke every day. At first, it was only emails but now it is by mobile whatsapps. We are getting a bit closer to each other. Anyway, Ikan is a sweet guy.

I always remember our first meeting. He came and sat next to me, while his parents sat at the opposite row of the bus. I can guess Ikan is from India because his mother wore saree and dark skin. She always smiles. His dad was always busy with camera and recording every tunnels we gone through. Ikan just helped him to snap when he calls for help. Both his parents kind of like small people in the movies The Hobbit. They looked cute together. Ikan is not so dark skin but  from his looks instantly India comes to mind. This is the first time in my life seeing a guy travelling with his parents. I thought it was cool.

Ikan loves India and he could draw the map of India very well.  He told me about India and some of Rama and Sita stories. I listened to every word he said. India is very foreign to me, it has never been written in my travelling list. India is only known when the handsome actor like Shahrukh Khan or Ashwariya Rai are mentioned but to be more than that absolutely never. I am learning about India slowly from him.

Every day, meeting and sitting next to Ikan,  I started to notice his eyes. I like his big brown eyes and thick eye brows. He has such a sweet smile. I love that smile, I could feel it is from heart. His face glows when our eyes meet, I could say my morning feels blessed.

I always like to joke around with Ikan, I like to be happy and laughing all day if I could. In every conversation I will end all up with  kan, kan, kan  by looking at his eyes with smiles. He will say along  kan, kan, kan saya suka makan ikan  without knowing the meaning, until one day he wondered. The phrase kan kan kan, saya suka makan ikan  scared him, he is a vegetarian. Ikan is fish in my language. That name Ikan stick to him till now.

Ikan started to ask me about the plan for the coming holiday. It was only March, still too early to plan. I was too occupied with work that nothing can come to mind. Ikan was excited telling about Sydney.  He went there last year. I could feel his eyes were shining, mentioning Sydney was beautiful and people were friendly. I guessed he was too excited, he invited me to visit him casually. He thought it would be nice to meet again. When he was in UK we were close to each other but after he transferred back to India, it was on and off relationship. I could feel he was excited when he reached Sydney. Everyday when texting he was putting effort to reconcile the time we lost.

I had holidays around the end of May. I didn’t  know what to say, I was unsure about the spending, flight tickets and accommodation. It’s dollar alright. My financial is not that stable at the moment, with the current situation that happened in the country, travelling is certainly not an encouraging business. All I could say, Australia is not a bad idea to fall blindly on with its kangaroo and ab origins, if he would buy the ticket for me. After all he is a man, its a fair deal. A man should be a gentleman to a lady.

The next day he greeted me, I could imagine  his lovely smiles and bright eyes, just like the sun shining so bright it gave a naughty pinch on my cheeks. It was Friday, time is usually fast and short. It is the happiest day of the week for everyone, for me it is time to let my hair loose and have pizza as I  like.  Ikan  didn’t talk much, I was wondering why. He is usually talkative and non-stop joking but this time he had something in his mind. I looked at my mobile and he told he had transferred some amount of money for flight ticket and visa. I was speechless, I thought I was joking yesterday. I will buy a flight ticket to Sydney, to and fro. I started asking God, what is his plan for me. I couldn’t  reject the invitation anymore. The ticket was real and free.

Now, at this time and moment I do believe the phrases people always said “Be careful what you wish for, it might come true”. It is absolutely true, no doubt! Since that day, we started to plan OUR adventure in Sydney.

Dzie❤
