I am really excited to celebrate new year in Australia with Mr ikan. As i never celebrate new year outside our home. So, this year we planned to join the Aussie crowd.
We were so happy walking to all the vantage points. All the spots were full with people, they had been waiting there since dawn. They brought umbrella, towels, camera, food and so on to occupy the space. Mobile washrooms were everywhere. It was a great facility for everyone here.
I have never seen such crowd. Police were everywhere on duty, they almost outshined the spectators. The police walked in groups to make sure the new year event running well. We were trying to see where we can watch the fireworks, but it seems like we were handing it to luck as the streets were full of people.
It was way too many people and many streets were closed. At that time, only certain roads were allowed to go through. People were pushing at each other and trying hard to find space to see the fireworks, mostly targeted to see the fireworks from the bridge. After all ,it is an iconic Sydney’s bridge.
Mr ikan and i just stood with everybody, we were counting time. All of us were eager to see the great fireworks.
When the clock struck 9, everybody started cheering and put up their camera to record the historic event of family fireworks. We could see the laser and light coming out from the bridge, the only thing that was missing was the fireworks. We all could here the sound of the fireworks shot to the sky but it was just not reaching our spot. Each time the crowd heard the sound of the fireworks they screamed. We felt a little disappointed with the view. However, i was happy that i was here in Australia celebrating 2018 new year with mr. Ikan together with the Aussies!
This is our 2nd new year together, i could feel we understood each other more than before. I hope and pray the coming year will be full of prosperity and happiness.
For me, i found love…my resolution is to make myself better for him and our relationship.
