Welcome to the world of Shazie

The unexpected adventure

“Do you believe in weather report darling?” I asked Mr Ikan. He looked at me with surprise. I expected a fast answer rather such gestures from him.

“Is it   Yes or  No?”  I looked at him and wondered…

He said “maybe!”

“In the court of law only Yes or No response is acceptable.” I wanted him to make a decision whether he ever believes in weather report.

I didnt expect a doubt…may be? What kind of answer is may be?

“Well, the weather broadcast has been reporting it will be windy and raining today but it was not happening. It was so bright and shiny.” I pushed the curtain to show him the sunshine.

“I suggested that we go for a walk. It will help the headache to ease with the fresh air accompanied with warm weather.”  I very much trying to convince him the weather report was false.

Luckily Mr ikan agreed to dress up and go for outing.

We went to Meadow Bank by train. I was so happy to go out to say hello the birds, to the sun, to the trees and to the world.

Mr ikan has always complained that he doesn’t have enough exercises like running or walking. So, now we are doing it together.

Meadow Bank has big fields and playgrounds. We saw the local playing football games, netball and basketball. People were jogging, walking and walk with their dogs. It was really a beautiful sight. Fresh and full of oxygen!!!

At Meadow Bank we can see the Parramatta River. The tide was high. We roamed around the park. We came across a WWII Memorial Walk where Australians served or were stationed. They used stones from each country as a mark.

As we were strolling, we saw a ferry at the nearby Meadow Bank wharf. It was a beautiful Autumn weather, just that we went out quiet late.  So  we thought to go to Circular Quay  to catch a train to home.

Travelling by ferry is nothing new to me, since I was born I had travelled by boat, express boat and ferry. Sometimes  it is scary when the water is wavy or the strong wind blows. Most of the time it is an exciting experience.

On our trip to Circular Quay, the ferry stopped at many islands. We were so fascinated to explore one of the island. We decided to see the Cockatoo Island. We never hear anything about the Cockatoo Island. I said it was a great choice.

It was almost 4 in the evening when we set our foot on the island.

Wow… it has a wide camping site. We can see the shipyards. Tall big buildings, we weren’t sure what buildings they are. There was no one to ask. However, the view of Sydney was amazing.

I could feel the spookiness when we roaming around the area. Well, it was getting dark. Not many people came too. So, we decided to go to the wharf, waiting for the ferry.

Surely I will never forget the Cockatoo Island.
