The most significant tower in Cockatoo island. The tallest and biggest I ever seen.
We walked around the island. There were so many buildings, look like factories and jail to keep the prisoners.
It was kind of spooky walking into the buildings. I couldn’t imagine what was happening at that time. How the convicts were treated and punished. This place must be full of people screaming and sick of some diseases. We never know…
The feeling of isolation creeping into me. Emmm..just couldn’t imagine living in an island like this whole life. Omg…just like living in an open cage!
This is the only house here. It was may be the administration office. It is still in a good shape. The government of Australia is taking good care to preserve the history for the future generations.
This looks like a warehouse. The Cockatoo Island was said to be shipsyards.
The view is beautiful. We can see the iconic bridge and the city from here.
I guess watching the view is the only medicine to heal the wound or reduce the feeling of anxiety for the prisoners.
We kind of late coming to the Cockatoo island. So, we spent our time watching the miraculous sunset together.
I don’t know how is the feeling camping here in this island? The only transport is the ferry.
It is absolutely silent here.
