Where is Easter? No news so far.
Emmm Easter has been forgotten because of Coronovirus fears.
The fever of the celebration has disappeared eaten by the cold of the air.
Usually we have cakes for Easter, but this year the BreadTop shop is closed. Yeah…no cake!
No Yam cake and Noooo Green tea cake! Not even a slice of cake. I miss all the yummy cakes😔
On Easter we always go out for sightseeing but this time. No! Not anymore. We are not allowed to join the crowd. We are instructed to STAY HOME! Yeah…Home sweet home. That’s a new norm at this time and year 2020. I just never imagined a tragedy like this happens. It doesn’t mean I don’t like to be at home. I love my home, just that not this solid. At times I do need to go out for some fresh air.
In the news, the government has instructed social distancing and most importantly to stay home. At Woolworth and Coles people are buying food, preparing for movement restrictions. Easter is not as welcome as it used to be at this hour of pandemic.
The virus has infected thousands of people and whoever contracted it will suffer severe breathing systems. It effected especially those with terminal illnesses.
The world is on lockdown for the first time in my entire life. It’s phenomenal!
Out of the world of disasters, there is always a silver lining. We as family bind together as one. Mr ikan and I spending more time together. We are able to celebrate Easter this year.
As Easter is just a a few days away. I have decided to sharpen my cooking skill. I love cooking and try new recipes especially vegetarian recipes. At this time I am learning how to cook Mr ikan favourite rice…yes! Lemon Rice.
I would never eaten anything vegetarian if it is not because of Mr ikan. Lemon rice has made it into one of my top 10 list. Marvellously delicious!
Besides cooking rice, I love fritters too. Be it banana or vegetables. I am loving it. ☝ I tried crunchy cabbage fritters. It is simple and tasty. Love it❤ You can send me a message if you are interested in the quick recipe from shazie.
At this unprecedented time, we can do anything possible to keep us entertained.
